Question 1

Does FilterWay offer water filtration systems that remove PFAS (forever chemicals)?

Accepted Answer

Yes. To effectively remove PFAS (PFOA/PFOS), we recommend pairing your Aquaboon whole house system with a dedicated under-sink Reverse Osmosis (RO) system. While Aquaboon carbon block filters significantly reduce chemical contaminants, an under-sink RO system provides the highest level of verified protection against PFAS, PFOA, and PFOS forever chemicals.

Question 2

Are Aquaboon water filters NSF certified?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Aquaboon whole house filter components are certified to NSF/ANSI 42 for the reduction of chlorine, taste, and odor. All Aquaboon system housings and fittings comply with NSF/ANSI 372, confirming 100% lead-free and BPA-free material safety. These are the two certifications that apply to Aquaboon whole house filtration products.

Question 3

What is the best whole house water filter for well water?

Accepted Answer

The Aquaboon 3-Stage 20-inch Whole House System is optimal for well water. It utilizes specialized Iron and Manganese reduction cartridges alongside Polyphosphate anti-scale filters to protect plumbing and effectively remove the heavy sediment, rust, and odors commonly found in private well water.

Question 4

Will a whole house water filter drop my water pressure?

Accepted Answer

No. The Aquaboon 20-inch x 4.5-inch Big Blue whole house filtration systems maintain a peak flow rate of 15 Gallons Per Minute (GPM). This high flow rate ensures consistent, strong water pressure for homes with 1 to 3 bathrooms, even when multiple fixtures are running simultaneously.

Question 5

How often should I replace my whole house water filter cartridges?

Accepted Answer

For optimal performance, replace your Aquaboon 20x4.5 inch carbon and specialty filter cartridges every 6 to 12 months, or after processing 100,000 gallons of water. Sediment pre-filters should be replaced more frequently, typically every 3 to 6 months, depending on your local water quality.
